"Kaifuku" (回復): This term translates to "recovery" or "restoration." While it is often associated with physical recovery from illness or injury, it can also be used metaphorically to describe the process of recovering or regaining strength, balance, or well-being in various aspects of life.

All the digital sales of this compilation will go straight to Alexandre and Jackie Kanashiro to help them recover from a fire that consumed their appartment, tooking the life of 2 of their cats allong with all their belongins. The survivinng cat, Leopoldo, and the couple now have to rebuilt their life. More than a tribute to Gasolines music, this is a true tribute to friendship and comradary.

Alexandre Kanashiro is the founding member of Brazilian surf band Os Gasolines. He started the band in 1993 after seeing Guitar Wolf playing Link Wray tunes in Memphis, TN. In the last 30 years the band incorporated all kind of influences and experimentations, from music from all over the globe to the use of different traditional instruments. A true music explorer, Kanashiro traveled the world collecting local music that soon would be incorporated to the Gasolines set. On their shows you can listen to a version of Dave Brubeck's Take Five right before Bauhaus's Bella Lugosi is Dead, followed by a Los Mirlos cover or their own Baião Surf Viva Maria Bonita. They really show that, as long as the music is good, there is no need to put a label on it.

Embora seja comum associar o termo à recuperação física de doenças ou lesões, também é possível utilizá-lo no sentido metafórico para descrever o processo de recuperação ou restauração da força, equilíbrio ou bem-estar, em diversos aspectos da vida.

Toda a renda proveniente das vendas digitais desta coletânea será revertida para Alexandre e Jackie Kanashiro, a fim de ajudá-los a se restabelecer após um incêndio que destruiu seu apartamento. Além de danificar todos os seus bens, o incêndio levou duas de suas gatas. Agora o casal e o gatinho sobrevivente, Leopoldo, precisam reconstruir a vida. Mais que um tributo aos Gasolines, a coletânea é um verdadeiro tributo à amizade e ao companheirismo.
